How to Sync XBOX One Controller
If your XBOX One wireless controller doesn’t connect to your Xbox you can achieve this one one of three ways.
Synce Xbox One controller using the console’s connect button.
First things first, turn on the Xbox One console. Make sure you have charged batteries in the controller then turn the controller on (press and hold until until the controller has turned on). If the Xbox button lights up with a solid light then the controller is connected. If the button pulses/blinks then it has not yet been connected to the wireless controller.
If the wireless controller has not connected then you will need to continue with:
- Press and release the connect button on the left side of the Xbox console
- Press and release the connect button on the controller (within 20 seconds of the Xbox)
- Now your Xbox wireless controller is connected to your console
You can connect up to 8 wireless controllers to your Xbox One console as well as connect a profile to a controller.
Connect Xbox One controller using a USB to micro-USB cable.
Using a mini-USB cable or the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit, it’s easy to connect the controller to the console. Simply connect the mini-USB cable to the controller and then the console. When the wireless controller is connect to the console you don’t have to use batteries, making your wireless controller a wired controller.
Sync Xbox One Controller Using Kinect.
Using the Kinect to connect your Xbox One controller to the console is the newest way to connect. Point the front of the controller toward your Kinect sensor so that the infrared LEDs on the controller are flashing toward the sensor. The Kinect sensor will read these LEDs and automatically connect the controller to the console.
